Background

My goal was to illustrate how cats just stare straight into the oblivion, with not a single thought in their head and just enjoying a warm cozy time by themselves.

Design

I chose a dark theme by showing a night scene and gloomy weather outdoors to emphasize more on the warmth around the subject. I used a combination of warm and cool colors for lights and shadows. The animation loop is very minimal with a flickering porch light, pouring rain and a slow rhythmical moving tail. It almost looks like a still picture.
